Wine-growing regions

          Domaine Costa Lazaridi

Drama has been part of a large region called Idonis Land since early antiquity. According to archaeological research, it was an important centre for honouring the god of wine, Dionysus. Evidence also exists of grapevines from the 4th century B.C. It is therefore not difficult to imagine the significant of wine growing in this region.

Besides the vineyards, the wine-growing estate includes a 15,000-square metre building with a wine cellar, distillery, underground vaults and a reception area for visitors.

         Ktima Kir-Yianni

We endeavour to combine the century-old family tradition with the use of innovative, new wine-growing methods in order to create wines that suit the taste of the modern consumer and also reflect the potential of the Greek winery and its local varieties such as the exquisite red Xinomavro.

Museum of the Royal Tombs at Aigai

The royal tombs of Aigai (Vergina Museum) are located 75 kilometres to the west of Thessaloniki. The excavation site near Vergina is likely identical to the ancient city of Aigai, which was the capital of the Kingdom of Macedonia until 410 B.C. Even after that time, this place still served as a burial site for Macedonian kings. The excavations at Vergina have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.

Chalkidiki region

In addition to the impressive cliff formations, beautiful beaches and clear water especially characterise the region. There are beach promenades with excellent infrastructure and magnificently turquoise water in hidden bays; Chalkidiki is a relaxing holiday destination.

Island of Milos

Exotic beauty and incredible natural gems on the Island of Milos in the Cyclades.

Island of Milos

The Island of Milos lies in the Aegean. Aphrodite was discovered there on Milos. Milos is the most impressive island of the Cyclades. Volcanic rock paints the beaches red, pink and orange. Sarakiniko and Kleftiko with their white cliff formations, emerald-green water, exotic beaches and coastal caves, catacombs, the pleasant climate, the pretty houseboats in Emborios and Mandrakia, picturesque houses and the enchanting sunset in Plaka... Milo is truly extraordinary!
